Annuity Training
- An insurance producer who engages in the sale of annuity products shall complete a one-time four-credit training course approved by the Department and provided by a Department-approved education provider.
- The satisfaction of the training requirements of another state that are substantially similar to the provisions of this section shall be deemed to satisfy the training requirements of this section in this State.

Flood Insurance Training
- Individuals who are authorized to sell flood insurance have a one time requirement to take 3 credits in approved course(s) on flood insurance and the National Flood Insurance Program. Those 3 credits are a part of the 24 credit total.

Long Term Care Training
- No individual producer licensed on or after February 17, 2009 may sell, solicit or negotiate long-term care insurance unless:
- The individual is licensed as an insurance producer for accident and health or sickness or life insurance
- Has completed a one-time initial training course.
- Initial Training
- The one-time initial training required shall be no less than 8 hours.
- Ongoing Training
- The ongoing training required shall be no less than 4 hours every 24 months.

- Individuals renew their license after a 2 year period.
- Public Adjusters
- Expiration dates for new and existing individual licensees will be biennial on the last day of the birth month of the public adjuster
- If the term of the 2 year license for new, or those transitioning to the biennial license via renewal would be less than 18 months, then the third birth month for individuals.

Certificate of Completion
To get your certificate of completion, log in to our website using your username and password. Then, look at the menu on the left and find "Course History." Your course history will list the courses you passed or failed. If you passed a course, you'll see a "Print certificate" button on the right, allowing you to print your certificate for your records.

How are Hours Reported
We report your credits through Sircon, a state-approved third party vendor, within one business day (except holidays, reporting will be done on next business day). The department receives the credits from Sircon and recognizes the date you passed/completed the exam as the date of completion. It is not based upon the day we report the hours to them.
