- Life and Annuities, Accident and Health, Casualty, Property, Personal Lines and Crop Hail or any combination
- Must complete at least 24 credit hours of approved continuing education (CE) per biennial compliance period based on your expiration date. 3 of the 24 hours must be in Ethics.

Annuity Training
- An insurance producer who engages in the sale of annuity products shall complete a one-time, 4-hour training course.

Long Term Care Training
- An individual may not sell, solicit or negotiate long-term care insurance unless:
- The individual is licensed as an insurance producer for Accident and Health line of authority;
- Has completed a one-time training course and ongoing training every 24 months thereafter.
- The one time training course shall be no less than 8 hours and the ongoing training shall be no less than 4 hours.

Flood Insurance Training
- An insurance producer who sells flood insurance may satisfy the minimum training and education requirements by completing a 3-hour course related to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

- Insurance producers licensed for only these lines are not required to complete CE; however, the license must still be renewed every 2 years.

Certificate of Completion
To get your certificate of completion, log in to our website using your username and password. Then, look at the menu on the left and find "Course History." Your course history will list the courses you passed or failed. If you passed a course, you'll see a "Print certificate" button on the right, allowing you to print your certificate for your records.

How are Hours Reported
We report your credits through SBS, a state-approved third party vendor, within one business day (except holidays, reporting will be done on next business day). The department receives the credits from SBS and recognizes the date you passed/completed the exam as the date of completion. It is not based upon the day we report the hours to them.

Course Repetition
Courses may not be taken more than once in each renewal period.

Carry-over Hours
Only courses taken within 365 days prior to your expiration date qualify for carryover. Ethics cannot be carried over but may be carried forward as regular hours and the maximum carryover allowed is 12 credits.
